How to Create a Needs or Location Loadings for Contracts (QLD)

Idea
Overview

In the Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia, "loadings" refer to additional funding provided to training providers for delivering training to specific groups of students who require additional support to succeed in their studies. These loadings are designed to assist students who may face barriers to completing their training, such as students with disabilities, students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and students from regional or remote areas.

Loadings are a form of targeted funding, and they are intended to help ensure that all students have access to quality vocational education and training, regardless of their individual circumstances. The specific loadings available may vary depending on the state or territory where the training is being delivered, and the type of qualification being pursued.

InfoNOTE: Refer to your State Training Authority for a full list of all available loadings and their percentages whenever creating your Loadings template.

For Queensland, training delivered in country, remote, Cape York and Torres Strait regions of the state will attract a location loading in addition to the government contribution.

We will be using the following lists for Loadings: User Choice Location Loading and Priority Skills Location Loading:
