How to Add an Outcome Payment Rule Template (TAS)

Idea
Overview
To create your contract in the SMS, you need to create an Outcome Payment Rule template.

The Outcome Payment Rule template defines the payments made to training providers based on the achievement of specified outcomes by students.

Refer to your contract with your State Training Authority for details of the Outcome Payment Rule.
Info
IMPORTANT: Your SMS comes pre-loaded with several templates used for creating funding contracts. Please ensure you review the templates before use. Make any necessary changes to the templates or create new ones as required.
For this tutorial, we will use this table as a reference for creating the template based on Tasmanian contracts.

Notes
Step Tutorial
1. From the Dashboard, go to Finance, then Contracts, then Outcome Payment Rule Templates. Click the New button.

2. Fill in the following information:
  1. Name – Add a name for your template.
  2. State – Select the specific state for your template. In this tutorial, select TAS.
  3. Outcome Payments – Set an outcome payment for the first unit of competency from the drop-down field, and enter the percentage of the total as a number. Based on the table provided above, the Tasmanian government pays a cumulative total of 100% of the subsidy for the unit of competency with an outcome code of 20 - Competency Achieved/Pass.
Repeat the same steps to set an outcome payment for the remaining unit outcome codes. For outcome codes that receive no payment, select "Do Not Pay" from the drop-down field.
Info
NOTE: If you do not need to report a certain outcome code to your State Training Authority, you can opt to exclude the unit outcome from the report by ticking "Exclude from Report." Otherwise, leave it unticked.
Once done, click Save.

3. A prompt confirming the successful creation of the template will appear. Click "OK" to close it.

You have now created your Outcome Payment Rule template
