How to Change the Authorisation Badges on the Credentials Tab

Idea
Overview

The People Page Credentials Tab has been enhanced with a new Authorisation Badge field that displays next to the Trainer Role dropdown. This badge automatically shows the authorisation level associated with the selected Trainer Role, providing clearer visibility and improved classification of trainer authorisation levels at a glance.

The Authorisation Badge uses colour-coding to help you quickly identify whether a trainer's role is Unsupervised, Under Direction, or Supervisor, making it easier to understand and manage trainer credentials in your organisation.

In this tutorial, we will guide you through understanding the Authorisation Badge and how to interpret the different authorisation levels.

Info
Understanding the Authorisation Badge System

The Authorisation Badge is a label that automatically updates based on the Trainer Role you select. You cannot manually edit this badge—it displays the authorisation level that matches your role selection.

How the Badge Works:

  1. You select a Trainer Role from the dropdown (e.g., "1A - Delivers Training and Assessment")
  2. The system automatically generates an Authorisation Badge based on that role
  3. The badge displays a colour-coded label showing the authorisation level (Unsupervised, Under Direction, or Supervisor)

Colour-Coding System:

The Authorisation Badge uses three distinct colours to categorise authorisation levels:

Authorisation Level
Badge Colour
Use
Unsupervised
Green
Trainer can work independently without supervision
Under Direction
Orange
Trainer works under the supervision or direction of another
Supervisor
Blue
Trainer provides direction or supervision to others

NOTE: TAE roles (TAE Unsupervised, TAE Under Direction, TAE Supervisor) follow the same colour scheme as standard roles—green, orange, and blue respectively.
