In this tutorial, you will learn how to convert a contact into a student directly from the Contact Page. This is a simple process that allows you to quickly update a contact’s role within the system.
In an RTO context, a contact refers to an individual recorded in the system as an enquiry or potential learner who has not yet been enrolled in any training. A student is a user who has been enrolled into a course, enabling their training records and participation to be managed within the system.
By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to confidently complete the contact-to-student conversion within the system.
NOTE: This is only applicable to a contact who has not yet been converted into a student. A Convert button will be available next to the Add and Delete buttons.
1. From the Dashboard, go to the Contacts tab. Locate the contact using the dropdown menu, then click the Convert to Student button.
2. You will be prompted to confirm whether you wish to proceed with the conversion. Click the Confirm button to continue.
3. A prompt confirming successful conversion will appear. Click the OK button to close it.
4. The account should now be added to the Students list. To verify, go to the Students tab and locate the student using the dropdown menu.
