How to Create Concessions in a Funded Contract (Rate)
Overview
A concession fee is a discounted rate for certain disadvantaged students. In this tutorial, the concession is based on the Smart and Skilled Prices and Fees established by the NSW government.
Step Tutorial
1. Navigate to Finance, then Contracts, followed by Concessions, and click the New button.
2. Enter the following details:
- State – Select NSW.
- Active – Toggle ON to activate.
- Type – Select Concession.
- Name – Enter the concession name.
- Category – The rate is the actual concession amount that the student needs to pay, while a discount refers to the amount deducted from the student fees. For this instance, select Rate.
- Description – Provide a description.
- Concession Amount – Enter the amount.
Once completed, click the Save button.
3. A prompt confirming the successful addition of the concession will appear; click OK to close it.
Those are the steps to successfully add a concession (rate) to the SMS.
