How to Customise Fees for Individual Students

OVERVIEW


This tutorial will show users how to add/edit Resources and Other type fees using the Enrolment Wizard. This functionality allows the inclusion of certain fees tailored to specific students.

There are two ways to edit your student's fees: 
1. During manual enrolment via the Enrolment Wizard.
2.  After enrolment, in Students > Financial Tab > Fees

Go through the tutorial below on how to customise your fees for individual students.

STEP TUTORIAL

How to Add Student Fees During Manual Enrolment

Location in SMS: Students > Enrolments > Action > New
During manual enrolment, you can add Student Fees (Resource or Other), but you cannot change existing program fees.
  1. Once the Program Enrolment Details are filled in and you get to the Payment Stage, click NEW 
  2. Select Fee Type: Resource or Other.
  3. Add Fee Description.
  4. Enter Amount.
  5. Indicate if GST is charged or not.
  6. Click Save
  7. Click Continue to move forward with the Enrolment.

IMPORTANT
  1. Only Resource and Other fee types can be added when manually enroling a student.
  2. Once added, Resource and Other fees will be displayed at the bottom of the Student Fees data table with an Action button where users can edit or delete the additional fees. 
  3. Fees that were set at the Program Instance level cannot be edited or deleted. See image below where the Action button only appears for the newly added Resource Fee via the Enrolment Wizard.


How to Add or Edit Student Fees After Enrolment

  1. Go to Students
  2. Select your student.
  3. Go to the student's Financial tab.
  4. Click on the Fees subtab.
  5. Click New

    Refer to the image below for Steps 1 and 5.


  6. Pick the related Enrolment ID No. of the Fee that you are adding
  7. Add a short Description of the Fee
  8. Indicate the Fee Type
  9. Enter the Fee Amount
  10. Indicate if GST is charged or not.
  11. Click Save




Repeat the steps until you have added or edited all your student fees.
