How to Generate Attendance Report in the SMS via Trainer Portal

The Trainer Portal in the SMS enables trainers to efficiently generate attendance reports for their assigned students. This feature offers a clear overview of attendance records, assisting trainers in tracking student participation and meeting compliance requirements. The reports can be customised based on specific time periods or student groups, ensuring flexibility in data retrieval.

Step Tutorial
1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Reports, then Attendance, and click the New button to create a new report.

NOTE: If you have previously created a report, you can select it from the dropdown menu.

2. Add the name of your report and/or set it as default. When set as default, it will automatically be selected from the dropdown menu.


3. A prompt confirming the successful creation of the report will appear. Click OK to close it.


4. You can now use these filters to achieve your desired result:
  1. Date Range – Specifies the period for which the attendance report is generated, allowing for customised data retrieval.
  2. Start Date – The beginning of the date range, determining the first day included in the attendance report.
  3. End Date – The conclusion of the date range, marking the last day included in the attendance report.
  4. Include Withdrawn, Cancelled, or Deferred – An option to include students who have withdrawn, cancelled, or deferred their enrolment, ensuring their attendance data is also captured in the report.
Once done, click the Search button.

5. You should now see the list based on the filters you applied above. Additionally, you can:
  1. Use the search function in each column header to find a specific value.
  2. Compose and send an email to students.
  3. Use the export option in the upper right corner to download the result.

6. Once you're done, make sure to click the Save button so you can reuse the template for the next report generation.
