Overview
Creating an ID card using digital documents is a straightforward and efficient process that removes the need for traditional printing methods. With Digital Docs, you can design and customise ID cards to suit your needs. Once the design is complete, the ID card can be saved in a digital format, such as PDF, for easy sharing or printing.

Step Tutorial
1. From the Dashboard, go to Administration, then select Templates, followed by Digital Docs. You will be directed to a new editing page, where you can begin creating the ID.
2. Before we begin, make sure to fill in the following fields: Entity, Template Name, Status, Type and Student Access by Default. Once completed, click the Save button to ensure the template is properly saved.
3. Go to Page Layout, where we will modify the page size, orientation, and margins. The values for these fields will be based on your preference. For this tutorial, we have used:
- Page size: W: 2.5 | H: 3.5
- Orientation: Portrait
- Margins: Top/Bottom: 0.1 | Left/Right: 0
4. Optional: Go to Insert, where we can add a header or footer.
5. Go to Fields, then select Dynamic Field, and add {Student Profile Picture}, {Student Name}, {Student Surname}, and {Student ID}.

NOTE: You are not limited to these fields; you may add any fields you wish to include or display on the ID.
6. Click the Save button from time to time to ensure your changes are saved. When issued to a student, it will appear as follows:

NOTE: You may experiment with the editor, adding images and colours to suit your preferences.
Here's an example of an ID that utilises various fields (e.g. {Student ID}, {Date of Birth}, {Student Email}), colours, and images.
These are the steps on how to make an ID card using digital document.
