
Overview
In this tutorial, we’ll walk through the steps to add a new industry engagement record in the Student Management System (SMS).
Follow the step-by-step guide below to create a new record:

Step Tutorial
1. From the sidebar menu, go to Compliance section, then Industry Engagement, and click the + icon. A new window will pop-up.
2. From the pop-up window, fill in the following fields:
- Added By - The user recording the new industry engagement.
- Date of Engagement* - (Required field) The date when the industry engagement took place.
- Expiry Date - The date when the industry engagement will expire. Leaving this blank will set the Status of the industry engagement to Active.
- Status - This field depends on the Expiry Date set for the record.
- Program - Select the program associated with the qualification.
- Company Name - Select a company from the list.
- Contact - Select the relevant contact from the list.
- Position - Enter the position of the selected contact.
- Discussion Points - List the relevant discussion points for this record.
- Industry Need - Specify the industry need.
- Outcomes - Enter the outcomes of the engagement.
- Approved? - Select whether this record is approved (Yes), Awaiting Review, or Rejected.
- Approved By? - Select the approver of the record from the list.
- Approved Date and Time - Enter the date and time of approval.
- Attach Files - Click the icon to upload relevant files.
Once done, click the Save icon.
3. To Edit, Delete, or Add task to a previous entry, click the kebab icon (three-dot icon) under the Action column.
Make sure to click the Save icon after editing an entry.
A warning window will appear if you attempt to delete an entry.
If you Add task to an existing entry, a Task window will appear. Fill in the required fields, then click the Save icon when finished.

NOTE:
- Click the Export icon to download the table as an Excel file.
- Click the Filter icon to display inline search filters in the table headers.
- Use the Search bar to find specific records using keywords.
When the Filter icon is clicked, the inline filters will appear as shown.
Click the Filter icon again to hide the filters, or click the X icon to clear all applied filters.
That's it! You've successfully recorded your Industry Engagement in the SMS.
