How to Require LLND Completion Prior to Enrolling Students in LMS Courses

Idea
Overview
This tutorial will guide you through setting up the Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) Skills Assessment as a requirement before enrolling students in their LMS courses. This will require students to complete the LLND course, which is configured at the program instance level, before they can be enrolled in any LMS courses.

WarningIMPORTANT: The Program Instance units MUST be integrated to their corresponding LMS courses prior to accepting student enrolments.

Notes
Step Tutorial
1. From the sidebar menu, go to Programs > Program Instances. Search and select for the program instance, then click on the LLND tab.

2. In the Requires LLND dropdown field, select whether the program instance requires the LLN Assessment, Digital Skills Assessment, or Both. Additional fields will become available once an option is selected.

In this sample, we selected Both LLN and Digital Skills Assessment.

3. Complete the following fields:
  1. LLN LMS Course - Select the correct LLN course from the dropdown list.
  2. Digital Skills LMS Course - Select the correct Digital Skills course from the dropdown list.
  3. Enrol LLND Course On - Select the enrolment status of the program instance that should trigger the student's enrolment in the LLND course.
  4. Require LLND Successful Completion Before Enrolling Units in LMS - Enable the toggle to require successful LLND completion before enrolling the student in LMS units.
  5. If Successful LLND Outcome, Set Enrolment Status To - Select the enrolment status of the program instance if the LLND course is successfully completed.
  6. If Unsuccessful LLND Outcome, Set Enrolment Status To - Select the enrolment status of the program instance if the LLND course is not successfully completed.
Once done, click the Update button.
