How to Set Expiry Date for Enrolments and Units

Welcome to this tutorial on setting expiry dates for enrolments and units in our Student Management System. Properly managing these dates ensures that students' access to courses is appropriately timed and helps maintain an organised learning environment. This guide will provide you with a step-by-step walkthrough of the process.
Step Tutorial
How to Set Expiry Date for Enrolments
- Login to your SMS and go to Programs
- Go to Program Instances Tab
- Select the program instance
- In the details tab, scroll down
For steps 1 to 4, refer to the image below:
- At the bottom of the page, you will find the switch for "Enrolments Expire". Set it to Yes.
- When "Enrolments Expire" is toggled Yes, a new field "Enrolment Expires After (days)" will display.
- Enter the number of days for "Enrolment Expires After".
In the same tab, you may also enable the Enrolment Units Expire switch.
How to Set Expiry Date for Units
- Enable Enrolments Units Expire by following the steps above to navigate to the Program Instance.
- Go to the Units tab
- You will notice that there is a new column in the units table for "Expires After (days)"
- Click the Action > Edit for the Unit you want to set an Expiry to.
- Set the number of days for the units to expire
- Click Update
NOTE: Expiry date can be displayed on the certificate and statement of attainment templates.
