How to Update a Unit Outcome to Credit Transfer
Overview
In this tutorial, we will show users how to manually update the student's unit outcome to Credit Transfer. Credit Transfer is a straightforward process where a student is granted credit for units of competency they have already completed and been assessed for in a different course or training program. It is used when a student has already achieved a specific unit of competency and wants to apply that credit towards a similar or equivalent unit within another qualification.
Step Tutorial
1. In the SMS, go to Students.
2. Select the student from the drop-down list.
3. Navigate through the student's Units tab.
4. Identify which unit or units and enter the Actual End date. The Actual End must be the same date when the Credit transfer was given or awarded. For this example, we set it to 14/11/2024.
5. Click Update to save changes on the Actual End.
6. Click the Unit Outcome and select 60 - Credit transfer/national recognition from the drop-down menu.
7. Click Update to save changes.
8. Click OK. This successfully update the student's Unit Outcome to Credit transfer.
