How to Reset Password and Send Set Password Link for a Company Contact

This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to reset a password and send a set password link for a Company Contact in the Student Management System (SMS).

The process ensures secure access recovery and helps administrators support users who are unable to log in. This guide is useful for managing account access efficiently and maintaining system security.

Step Tutorial
1. From the sidebar menu, go to Companies > search and select a company > then navigate to the Contacts tab.

2. In the Contacts table, click the Action button next to the contact you want to reset the password for or send set password link to.

When either of the two options is clicked, the corresponding modal will appear.

3. In the Reset System Password modal, enter the new password for the contact and click Submit.

A notification message will appear confirming that the password change was successful. Click OK to close it.


4. In the Send Set Password Link modal, a confirmation message will appear. Click OK to confirm.

A notification message will then confirm that the password set link has been sent. Click OK to close it.

An email containing the Set Password link will be sent to the company contact’s email address. The link will direct the contact to the Reset Password page.


Warning
IMPORTANT: Make sure that a Send Password Reset Link type email template is available in the SMS. This template is used when the Send Set Password Link action is triggered for a company contact.
