How to Add a Company within a Company in the SMS (Maximise)
Overview
In this tutorial, we will show users how a parent/root company can have its child companies. In the Maximise version of the Company Portal, you can now add multiple companies within a company. These companies can also add their lower-level companies if settings are enabled.
Step Tutorial
1. From the Dashboard, go to Companies, select your company from the drop-down menu, go to Related Companies, and then click Add.
NOTE: It is important to note that permission settings are defined at the parent company level. The child companies will always have the same settings as the parent company.
2. Enter the following information:
Part 1 – General Information
- Company Name – Enter the Company Name.
- Trading Name – Enter the Trading Name, if applicable.
- ACN – Enter the Company's ACN.
- ABN – Enter the Company's ABN.
- Street Number – Type in the Street Number
- Street Name – Enter the Street Name.
- Suburb – Type in the Suburb.
- Postcode – Enter the Postcode.
- State – Select the State from the drop-down.
- Country – Select the Country from the drop-down.
- Main Contact Email – Select the State from the drop-down.
- Billing Email – Enter the Company's Billing Email.
- Billing Contact Name – Enter the Company's Contact Billing Name.
- Billing Contact Phone No. – Enter the Billing Contact Phone No.
- Regulated Trades - Direct Supervisor Name – If applicable, enter the information relevant to these field.
- Lic No – If applicable, enter the information relevant to these field.
- Supervisor Name – If applicable, enter the information relevant to these field.
- Supervisor Contact Phone No. – If applicable, enter the information relevant to these field.
- Custom Theme – Select a theme from the drop-down.
Part 2 – Company Permissions
These permissions are defined at the parent company level and are inherited by the child companies; they cannot be edited.
Once completed, scroll up then click the Save button.
3. A prompt about the successful creation of the company will appear. Click OK to close it.
4. Under the Related Companies tab, notice the hierarchy of your company.
You can add multiple child companies under the parent/root company, and/or create another company under a child company.
