Overview
This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to manually add a task to a student within the SMS. It outlines the process of creating a task from the student profile, linking it to specific units or enrolments, and assigning responsibility for completion to an admin, trainer, or company. While tasks are completed by these parties, they are created in relation to a specific student to help track requirements, actions, or follow-ups effectively. The guide also covers how to set due dates, priorities, and reminders to ensure timely completion.

Step Tutorial
1. From the Dashboard, go to Students, search for and select a student from the dropdown, go to Tasks, then click the Add Task button.

2. In the task modal, fill in the following information:
- Template – Select a task template from the dropdown list, if available. If you select a template, some fields in this task will be pre-filled with details from the selected template.
- Title – Enter a title for your task.
- Description – Enter a description for your task.
- Checklist – Attach a checklist, if applicable.
- Due Date – Set a due date to indicate when the task needs to be completed.
- Assign Users – Assign users who will complete the task. This can be a specific user within your organisation, or you may leave it blank.
- Assign Organisational Units – Select organisational units from the dropdown list, if applicable. This can be left empty if specific users have already been assigned.
- All Individuals Must Complete – Enable the toggle if all assigned individuals are required to complete the task.
Once completed, click Add.
3. A prompt confirming the successful creation of the task will appear. Click OK to close it.
You should now see the recently added task in the list.
4. If you wish to edit, delete, or view an existing task, click the Action button.
Those were the steps on how to create and assign tasks for a student in the SMS.
