Step Tutorial
Part A – Merchant Application
Worldpay offers a simplified application process for businesses wanting to set up secure and reliable payment processing. Through this dedicated portal, you can easily apply for a Worldpay merchant account and start accepting payments online, in-store, or over the phone.

To ensure a smooth and efficient application, it’s best to have the following information ready:
  1. Business details – registered business name, trading name, and ABN/ACN.
  2. Business contact information – address, phone, and email.
  3. Bank account details – account name, BSB, and account number for settlement.
  4. Business structure information – sole trader, partnership, or company details.
  5. Identification documents – such as driver’s licence or passport for business owners or directors.
To begin your application, please visit this page: Worldpay Application Portal.

Worldpay will review the information provided and may contact you if additional details are required.

Application approval times can vary, but businesses are usually notified within a few business days.

Once your application is approved, the required credentials (such as API keys and business identifiers) will be generated and forwarded through your system provider (SMS/LMS). These details will then be shared with you for configuration, allowing you to securely process transactions, access detailed reporting tools, and benefit from built-in fraud protection, as well as support for multiple currencies and payment methods.
Part B – Integration to the SMS
To enable online payments through Worldpay, you’ll need to complete the integration within your Student Management System (SMS). This process involves entering the credentials provided after your Worldpay merchant account has been approved. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth setup:
Warning
IMPORTANT: Make sure you have the necessary Worldpay credentials ready for integration, including your API Username, API UserKey, Business ID, and Trading Name. These details are required to properly connect your merchant account with the SMS. If you have not yet received them, please contact support via email to request your credentials before proceeding.
1. Log in to the SMS using your registered email address and password, then click Continue to access your dashboard.

2. From the Dashboard, navigate to Administration, then Settings, then Details.

3. Under the Payment and Declaration section, enter the following information:
  1. Payment Type – Set to Worldpay for Platforms
  2. Worldpay API Username
  3. Worldpay API UserKey
  4. Worldpay Business Id
  5. Worldpay Trading Name

4. Once all details have been entered, scroll to the top of the page and click Update to save your changes.

5. A confirmation message will appear — click OK to confirm and complete the update.
Part C – Testing
To test your Worldpay integration, perform a trial transaction to ensure that payments are processed correctly and that the details appear accurately in your SMS. This helps confirm that your setup is working as expected. To do this:

1. Create a test program instance in the same way you would when setting up a regular program.

2. Ensure that your enrolment forms are configured with the correct settings, groups are created and active, and financials (including payment plans and fees) are properly set up.
Info
NOTE: Worldpay requires a $5 minimum settlement to cover processing costs. Funds are released to your bank account once this threshold is reached.
Don’t forget to check that invoice reminders are also in place.
3. Create an enrolment using the external enrolment form by entering test student details, then click Enrol to proceed.

4. On the payment page, choose your preferred payment plan and enter your card details.

5. Once the payment has been processed and succeeded, go to Students, then  Financials, then Invoices to confirm that the payment plan invoice(s) are correctly marked as paid.
